carpark - rotlicht
hello readers, sunk3rn here! In the last post I mentioned I wanted to photograph cars some more. So to do that, I took my trusty 450D to the carparks near my university. Most of the pictures i took were blurry, overexposed, not framed correctly or just plain ugly. But thanks to taking many pictures, it resulted in some of them being decent, a few of them even good. So in this post I want to share my pictures from a few recent walks/sessions that I consider to be worthy of posting. This time I wanted to show cars sporting the fastest color of them all; red.
This is Mazda 626 was a higlight of my walk that day. I thought that most of the cars I saw that day were ok, but I was generally kindof dissapointed. Then a red, low, flat car caught my attention from quite a distance away. The shape clearly out stood out of the crowd of post millenium blobby cars. I was really excited coming up to it, initially, I wasn’t really sure what it was; A prelude (2.2 yeah)? No, those look diffrent. A Legacy? too long to be legacy..? I just hope that it isn’t a hyundai or something. I was pleasantly surprised when I came closer found out it was a Mazda 626. I haven’t really seen one of this generation (3rd gen?) and I’m generally clueless about “pedestrian” mazdas of most eras, so it was fun to see a car I didn’t really know existed.
I do love how the taillights don’t fall behind the chaser and other executive sedan in terms of looks. They just look so premium and 90’s, maybe the chrome trim piece does the heavy lifting?
Notice the LPG refueling inlet.
Other things of note were the sticker of the instagram page I used to follow and the dirty but well chosen wheels. Obviously, rust is inescapable on the japanese cars of this era.
In a different session I found this Audi A5. It was in an accessible place with not that many cars around it so it shot it a from a few angles and this one came out best imo. I don’t really know that much about it than it is a quattro with a turbo diesel. I wonder if those wheels are a factory option or not?
And as last photo I chose the most recent one. We have a second Mazda, this time a little grandchild of the 626 a Mazda 3, again, in red. Although the photo is a bit blurry, I like how it looks infront of the autumn trees in the background.
And this the end of the post! I hope my editing has improved atleast somewhat since I got tips from a friend. I quite enjoyed writing this although I’m really tired right now and hope I haven’t made any grave errors. I will post some more photos, probably in like a weeks time, I don’t want to oversaturate this site with posts. I already have a few themes lined up, so just need to blank out the plates and write up the text. Thanks for reading, see you next post!
